During the night we motored to Tower (Genovesa), into Darwin Bay. this whole island is really just a bay, being a collapsed caldera. A horseshoe shape with imposing cliffs almost all around. In the morning we went to a beach which was coverfed with swallowtailed gulls, red-footed boobies, frigate birds, and some masked boobies. Many had young in their nests. Neat to be so close. snorkeling was clear, though current was a bit rough. saw a large (3'?) trumpet fish in green. Lots of parrots and triggers.
